My ideal future is equality for everybody. With this project I wanted to create awareness for this. While reading the futurist manifesto of Filipo Tommaso Marinetti, I got inspired. In the manifesto, Filipo talked about ‘enemy stars’. I think this is symbolic for ‘the past is the enemy’. The futurists were not a fan of the past and the stars that we see now are the stars which were created in the past. My painting is a starry sky of different people with a star as head. It is a symbol for we are all different but the same star. It also is a symbol for that we have to do something about equality problems now. If we create those stars now, we see a better world in the future. The stars symbolize solving of the problem.

I created this merchandise line to spread this equality movement.

With this project I joined the Kunstbende contest 2021 in the category Expo. I won the qualifying round of Flevoland and could go to the national finals.
